Atlantic

Overview

Atlantic restaurant is an independently
owned business located in South Beach, Miami. They create cosmopolitan cuisine within a contemporary setting. They
required a design language that was personal to their name with a flexible
system for menus.

A series of Atlantic Ocean seascape photographs were collated from the
Ocean’s coastline which varied from
Africa to Europe and North America to
South America.

These photographs were captured over

a 24 hour period to give tonal variation
in each location. Each photograph was
then manipulated into a graphic pattern
using a number of post-production techniques, this gave each menu a
textured depth with its respective
location listed.

Digital templates were created enabling

the restaurant to update their menus
on the pre-printed images.
